Classic NATO strap made of a single piece of Brown leather with slightly pebbled texture. Full-grain leather, one of the best Ukrainian local leather I found.
Featured with 3 rectangular frames/loops and a buckle, which were produced especially for my brand, made of the best 316L stainless steel. The frames do not have a flat section, but a rounded top, which gives additional rigidity and a soft shine.
One of the frames will be slightly higher so that you can wrap the free edge of the leather into a loop*
Made according to NATO standard - Defence Standard 66-47, the link to the file** Of course with our own handmade finish and detailing.
Assembled strap length is 11 inches / 28 cm excluding buckle.ed smooth edges.
Can I make this a single pass version, without a third loop and leather part underneath? - Yes, just add a note to the order about this, I'll make a single pass strap for you.
Frames/loops are available in:
- Standard Polished finish,
- Matte Brushed (no fingerprints remain),
- Sand finished Golden color (no fingerprints remain),
- Black Matte PVD,
- Solid Brass rectangular loops, handmade by me***. Featured with plated steel Golden buckles
- Solid Bronze rectangular loops, handmade by me***. Featured with plated steel polished Rose Gold/Bronze/Copper buckles. Solid Bronze loops are shiny when polished, seem to Copper color, and darken with patina over time, natural metal oxidation.
Stitched with linen thread by hand, in a "French technic"
Edges are polished by hand and covered with a protective semi-matte finish.
Leather thickness is about 5 oz (2 mm)
NATO leather straps are available in 16, 18, 20, 22 mm width. I can also make 15, 17, 19, 21, 23 mm NATO strap, but the hardware will be used only even-numbered.

*For nylon straps, there is no need to increase the height of one of the frames, but nylon is thin. And the leather is much thicker, so one of the frames has a slightly increased height. I couldn't find higher loops over the markets, so these frames were ordered for me personally. Only I have such frames.

***I make the brass and bronze frames/loops by hand, so they won't be as perfect as the mass-produced steel ones. This is pure craft. And I did it because I could not find factory loops made of brass and bronze. My loops are made of 1.5 mm thick and 3 mm wide metal strips. In general, these are approximately the same dimensions as the factory loops.

Our main focus is on leather quality. For the manufacturing of our belts, wallets, bags and other accessories we only use full-grain leather. This type of leather was not been sanded, buffed, or snuffed to remove imperfections or natural marks on the surface of the hide (as opposed to top-grain or corrected leather), so the grain has not been altered. The grain allows for fiber's strength and durability.
Full-grain leather is considered among the best quality leathers available.

The choice of the supplier of leather was stopped at one of the oldest leather companies in the US - Horween Leather Company.

Conditions of return

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Shipping cost is non-refundable.

Lost or stolen packages

Once orders are shipped, Balabanoff Leather Goods is not responsible for lost, stolen, or mis-delivered packages. We ship all orders via a third- party carrier (Ukrposhta, UPS, USPS, DHL) and as such risk of loss and title for goods ordered pass onto you upon our delivery to the carrier.

We do not assume any responsibility for postal delays, but we will provide the buyer with all available information about the package, and we will also make every effort on our part to successfully deliver the package. For example, we can initiate a search for a shipment on our part.

If you’re having trouble tracking down a shipment, you’ll need to contact your local post office and/or parcel carriers for assistance. The shipping carrier used will be listed on your shipping confirmation email or you can track the package on any universal international track-site.

Customs Fees

Usually we try to make custom processes and price evaluation of the package as simple and cheap as possible so that the buyer does not have to pay additional tariffs and fees at customs.

But the customer is responsible for all taxes and customs fees.

If you refuse a shipment due to the local taxes/duties not being paid, Balabanoff Leather Goods will not issue you a refund for your order. Orders can be delayed due to verification or time of order being placed.
